URB 04 presented the audience with the first part of the Raw-matters Trilogy. It featured the history of street dance, from the 80s to this decade. Part 2 deals with the personal history of the performers. Personal Matters draws inspiration from rhythms, the fusion of dance and acrobatics, the streets, the suburbs, and ultimately each performer's personal history. The piece moves back in time to reminisce the buzz that ultimately results in all the experienced performers being where they are now. Up pops electric boogie, tags, blastermasters, basement parties and crushes from decades past. The stage is graced by professionals of several fields: b-boys Petri Kanerva and Niki Sopanen, circus artist Henna Kaikula, contemporary dancer Kaisa Niemi, Laineen Kasperi and his band, with Arja Tiili directing the show.
