Nov 30, 2008 - I mean 4 is linear based of how you get a pre-set characters versus 7 you pretty much can pick and chose who you want, and the combat system for 7 was another step in the right direction. If you read the stradegy guide for any Final Fantasy, I don`t know about the legends ones but you`d notice for 4 unlike the others it was able to safely say this guy and that guy had to be this level at this point.

Nov 30, 2008 - I have to disagree with you there. Final Fantasy IX was the perfact FF to relive the days of 8-bit, and acual FANTASY rather than modern day buildings and real life scenarios. It brought the classics and everything that should be loved about FF back. Sure the story was cliche, but the music and characters made up for it. I think FFIX is one of the most underrated games. And as for FFVII? It's WAY too overhyped for my tastes.

I'm not a huge fan of FFIX but I don't go round saying degrading things about everyone who does like it. Something 'true'? In your opinion, yes. But not as a matter of fact.
