Sep 8, 2008 - you can use any gentle hair shampoo to wash your brushes, but doing it more often like once a week is more ideal.
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - depending on how often you will do it. Quick clean is great every other day, then a weekly deep clean is ideal.
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - it all depends on the makeup remover. if it has any form of alcohol in it, then that can be drying to the bristles which will eventually cause damage.

Sep 18, 2008 - Is it ok to use regular shampoo such as Pantene or anything similar?

Sep 24, 2008 - hey awesome video! i have a quick question for you though - someone told me baby shampoo generally contains 'Sodium Lauryl Sulfate' and that it can strip the life out of your bristles. is there any truth to this? :)

Sep 25, 2008 - i have a question, when i wash my brushes it takes like 2 days to dry and i need to use them everday, so its really hard to wash my brushes. is there anything i can do to get my brushes to dry faster?

Sep 27, 2008 - Palmolive and other detergents have cheap softeners in it. They are derived from the same chemical used in pesticides. I believe it is called dioxane.

Sep 30, 2008 - i love your videos and i've tried using your brush cleanser! it works and saves me alot of money. I had a question though, how would i clean my double sided makeup brushes? i dont want to ruin the glue, im scared if i place them flat, it'll mess up. any suggestions?
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Oct 3, 2008 - yeah baby oil is fine - just make sure to really wash it good after, baby oil takes longer to wash off than olive oil.
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Oct 3, 2008 - sure you can use, any gentle shampoo is ideal.
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Oct 3, 2008 - make sure to gently squeeze some of the water from the bristles after the final rinse. You can also brush it back and forth using a clean towel after an hour to help it dry faster.
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Oct 3, 2008 - this is one reason I dont particularly prefer double-tipped brushes. But what you can do is you can wash one end, let it kinda dry for about 30 mins- 1 hour, then wash the other end.

Oct 12, 2008 - ugh i didn't clean my brushes EVER. and then i actually did take one to my school and looked at it through the micro scope and just yeah...ladies, clean them often and well!! i have to clean mine every day now. i'm so freaked by the things i saw that its not an option for me to skip a day. but, i never have used a spot cleaner. i always deep clean mine with just shampoo and water and like lather it in my hand then do it again and rinse it. will that hurt my brushes at all?
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Oct 14, 2008 - No I wash mine all the time as well. Just make sure you use gentle shampoo with conditioner, if you dont have a brush cleanser. The hair fibers will get brittle and start breaking if theyre not conditioned.

Oct 28, 2008 - do we have to rinse off the brush cleanser off the brushes after cleaning? Thanks!:)
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Oct 29, 2008 - same way as any brushes
EnKoreMakeup Says:
Oct 29, 2008 - i personally find that the cleanser is mostly water and no need to rinse. Its a matter of preference really. Many like to rinse further, many dont.
